Drummoyne
You can see a different word on each seat in the Drummoyne shopping area.
(Also see next page for other variations)
No, we didn't know either, but it was explained for us by the Council:
Refresh Drummoyne Public Art.
Public art creates a look and feel for Drummoyne Shopping Village Centre.
The Public Realm Concept Master Plan identifies a number of sites for improvement across the Centre.
Maximising the impact of the investment in street furniture and alterations
to the area was identified as a key challenge.
The use of public art is a proven tool in creating distinction to a place,
connectivity between people and a sense of cohesion.
By using a place based approach the team will link the various improvements using narrative or text
to be visible on local seats, bins, murals, pavement, window display items marketing collateral
for the shopping strip and projections.
