Photos - Surprises - Signs (continued)

Marrickville

marrickville-rival-churches-1-usg.jpg

Many decades ago all Catholic churches gave you lots of choices as they still do in Marrickville Road, Marrickville.

And just a few metres down the same road the Anglican church offers this.

Mascot

Our favourite sign, because it's favouring us - Airport Drive, Mascot.

Mascot

If they'd just allow another two hours, you could have unlimited parking in Mascot as long as you parked between 8am and 6pm. With such weird parking restrictions, you could guess the name of the street, couldn't you?

McMahons Point

So keep your accelerator flat to the floor in Blues Point Reserve, McMahons Point.

Meadowbank

What do you do when you open a business between 2A and 2B? Meadowbank has the answer.

Meadowbank

Could you tell me how to get to Block N in Rhodes Street, Meadowbank, please?
Yes, it's next to Block Z, but it's not that simple…

You have to follow numbers too. We have enough blocks to compete with Legoland.

Merrylands

merrylands-early-school-hours-usg.jpg

Merrylands East Public School told us that because of a study showing young children don't concentrate well after lunch, they are the only school in NSW to change their hours to 8.00am to 1.15pm, then home for lunch with family. If all primary schools did the same, high schools could use their classrooms from 1.15pm to 6.30pm and we'd only need half the present school buildings. That would save a fortune and greatly reduce peak-hour traffic.

Merrylands West

I'd like to see this sign in Serpentine Street, Merrylands West, disobeyed. Maybe with a drag race?
