Tempe

A reminder from Old Street (which is parallel
to Young Street), Tempe: always have plenty of water
on hand when you’re walking.

Turrella
Turrella is a mixture of historic houses, new
ones and factories. Rocks dominate this one in Cook Street.

Wolli Creek flowing through the suburb
of Turella. Surprisingly, it also flows through the
suburb of Wolli Creek. Here it meets the end of Henderson
Street.

Varroville
Varroville is officially a suburb, but more like two
long country roads with lonely houses. You might be
able to spot a couple of them on your Raby Road trek
if you try really hard.
Varroville
I didn't think Varroville would have enough teenagers
to fill a skateboard, let alone a school - but I agree
with their motto.
Wiley Park
It’s not your usual hardware store, but you can’t
walk down King Georges Road, Wiley Park, without spotting
it.
Christine from Ipswich emailed us that her brother used
to spend his Sunday School threepences on lollies at
this shop 50 years ago.

Woronora’s confusion of bridges.

Woronora
The house that climbs hills is in Prices Circuit, Woronora.
Woronora
The Woronora River: an ideal place to
reflect on the beauty and peace of an isolated suburb.
Yagoona
I lost one of my hands in the accident in Caldwell Parade, Yagoona,
but the surgeon managed to save all my fingers.
